PB communication error

usually get this error on great a many servers, since short on the sof servers as well.

What i tried:

-updating cod 4 in pb
- reinstalling pb
- enabeling pb in start>...> control menu " allow pbstrA "

Any tips woudl be great since nternet hasn't given results til now.

goto even balance website and download the cod4 punk buster client and run it every time before u run cod4 that helps. i used to get that! a nice reinstall of windows sorted it. if your comp is running slow try disabling a few thing running in the background or a new install of windows if u think it needs it! all it is is the server cannot communicate with your punk buster so could also be a slow network, not enough memory can give u that problem cod4 uses almost 1 gig so if you have 1 gig memory and running cod4 and other things in the background it will cause problems for punk buster to run properly even a faulty hard drive can cause it if your punk buster has been installed on a faulty hard drive sector then it will cause problems trying to read from that sector it could be a lot of things but try what i have said 1st they are the most common problems

I was hoping to fix it permanently but I simply do it the old way right now:

I Delete/install pb right before I join a game, and that usually lets me play
